This is a new business sales role and you will be targeting investment professionals predominantly in Europe at hedge funds, asset managers, and private equity firms. The role will involve generating your own leads and subsequent face to face appointments and demonstrations as well as managing and converting inbound new business leads. You will be negotiating contracts and closing deals while growing and maintaining a robust pipeline of sales opportunities. The role reports directly to the managing director and founder.
The newly created sales and business development role will be vital part in Woozle’s objective to promote the value of primary research as an investment methodology in Europe. The available market opportunity is significant, and our aim is to become the go-to primary research provider for institutional investors across both public and private equity markets by using surveys and interviews to glean real-world intelligence that can make or break their investment thesis.
The candidate will be responsible for:
To identify prospects and follow up on new business opportunities.
To lead new business meetings, to close new sales, and bring on-board new clients.
To help create high quality presentations for new business pitches and meetings
To build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects
To build and maintain a sales database of contacts into CRM systems
Maintain and update CRM systems with contacts, prospects, & progress.
Cold calling prospects and outbound email outreach.
Understand and communicate the value add proposition of our bespoke and subscription products.
Keep up to date on industry news to make more informed and relevant outreaches to prospective clients in value added exchanges.
The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years experience selling research, technology, or data to investors and will be well connected in the space. The ability to demonstrate success in previous sales roles through achieving new business sales targets is important as is building a new business sales pipeline from scratch. You will ideally have experience selling into senior personnel within relevant industries. The candidate will understand relevant industry trends and terminology. We are looking for someone proactive and hungry, with excellent communication skills. You must have an interest in primary market research and the investment landscape.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
Investment Management Certificate or similar qualification preferred.
Degree qualified, preferably in Finance or Economics.
Proven related work experience and proven sales track record, preferably in financial sales in Europe although applicable B2B sales success will be considered.
Deadline and results focused with the ability and flexibility to handle new tasks and shifting deadlines.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and process driven, solutions focused.
Must have excellent communication skills
Positive attitude and conscientious.
