Responsibilities

We are seeking individuals with confident communication skills to join our channel research team in a part-time capacity.

The role is to conduct in-depth telephone interviews with stakeholders of the world’s largest companies, with the objective of uncovering the latest developments and fundamental factors impacting company and industry performance.

The role is similar to detective work or investigative reporting, and requires persistence and analytical thinking under pressure.

We conduct interviews with respondents across the globe. So in addition to English, we are seeking candidates with fluency in any of: Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Swedish, Japanese, Korean, German, Italian or Spanish.

Successful applicants will receive extensive training in the key skills required to conduct interviews and the research principles we employ to acquire the best quality data.

The work is done from our office in Hackney, Central/East London; the hours are part-time and extremely flexible. We are looking for individuals willing to commit roughly 20 hours per week. Compensation is comprised of a base salary per hour plus monthly bonuses based on the number of accepted interviews submitted and their quality of your insights gathered. You will also need to review our compliance guidelines and learn our methodology, all of which is also posted on our database.

The work is telephone based. It is ideal for those interested in getting started in equity research on either the buy-side or sell-side, and is good experience for both. Channel research skills are highly marketable, and the time you spend learning on-the-job could be helpful to getting hired in the city.

Work is available Monday - Friday, with each working day split into three shifts: 

  • 09:00 - 12:30

  • 13:30 - 17:30

  • 17:00 - 19:30

It is ideal for those interested in getting started in equity research on either the buy-side or sell-side, and is good experience for both. Channel research skills are highly marketable, and the time you spend learning on-the-job could be helpful to getting hired in the city.

Contract & Pay

The role is offered as a 1-month rolling contract, and requires candidates to be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week. 

At Woozle we offer our staff full transparency into what and how they are paid, with real-time updates on the performance metrics that determine this. 

We offer a base rate of £10.50 GBP per hour.

A motivated and target oriented researcher has the ability to progress to higher pay tiers based on performance - rising to base pay tiers of £11.50 GBP per hour, £12.50 GBP per hour, and a £15 GBP per hour rate for unique client projects. Promotions to higher pay tiers are decided monthly and determined by the quantity of interviews collected per hour and the quality of the data collected.

In addition, these metrics are weighted to the difficulty rating of each project. The difficulty rating accounts for any additional language requirement, and so as a result, researchers with additional language fluency are expected to earn significantly higher than base rate.

COVID-19

The role is ordinarily conducted from our offices in Hammersmith. However, due to the impact of COVID-19, the safety of our staff and all applicants are of our utmost concern. As a result, successful candidates will have the opportunity to conduct the role remotely.

The interview and assessment centre application stages will now also be conducted remotely, via Zoom meetings.

Successful candidates may be required to conduct one or two training sessions from our offices. In accordance with guidelines defined by Public Health England, we can assure that these sessions will be staggered, and strict social-distancing measures will be enforced as well as face masks and hand sanitisers provided at all times.

To work remotely:

  • Confident communication skills; enjoy talking with others

  • Highly motivated; target / commission oriented

  • Languages, inc. English fluency (Chinese, French, Swedish, German, Japanese etc.)

  • A keen interest in the stock market and company analysis

  • Basic computer skills; fast typing skills
