We are seeking an experienced HR and People team leader to help us build, develop, and nurture our growing team, taking full ownership of the employee experience from start to finish.

 

Responsibilities

A newly hired HR & People Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • The ongoing development of a people-focused culture, working closely with the senior management team to roll out exciting new initiatives, designing and implementing processes including performance development, recognition, rewards, and benefits

  • Acting as an employee champion to promote learning, development and wellbeing at work

  • Becoming a cultural leader in employee communications and ensuring company policies are values-driven and fit for purpose

  • Working in partnership with senior leadership to ensure a seamless and effective on-boarding process

  • Help recruit, develop, lead, and cultivate a high-performance culture

  • Working with senior management to develop ways of maintaining great engagement.

  • Promoting and ensuring implementation of diversity and inclusion metrics across all business processes

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for the team in all HR and assisting with payroll matters

  • Work collaboratively across the company to execute all of the above

 

Requirements

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • 3-5 years experience in HR / People functions

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases, experience with Xero would be ideal

  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and GSuite Applications

  • Experience working in a fast-growing scale-up environment

  • A proven track record of implementing and leading a performance-based culture and supporting the delivery of training, learning, and development

  • Experience in working in organisations involved in investment research, investment banking, management consulting, or private equity would be favourable

  • Value the importance of employee engagement and continuous improvement incorporated into everyday business practices

  • Analytical thinking with strong communication skills

  • Approachable and empathetic

  • Value the contributions of individuals and recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion
