📈 ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an equity analyst to join our team of investment professionals to help drive our growth. This is an excellent opportunity to be the lead analyst covering your own sector and to position yourself for unique career opportunities in the hedge fund and private equity industries.
✅ WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE
A typical day will include...
- Building & maintaining financial operating models.
- Writing monthly and quarterly investment research reports.
- Monitoring company news flow, earnings releases, and data points.
- Pitching your long & short recommendations to hedge funds.
- Identifying and connecting with industry experts to cultivate long-lasting relationships.
- Recruiting experts to take part in interviews to share their insights.
- Leading interviews with senior industry experts to extract relevant insights for investors.
- Writing up interview transcripts, notes, and feedback from expert calls.
- Designing targeted and thesis-relevant questions to include in our channel checks.
- Attending internal analyst team meetings to discuss the market and industry trends.
- Contributing long & short trade recommendations for our internal portfolios.
- Studying for capital markets and financial analysis qualifications and training courses.
- Attending industry events and conferences relevant to your sector.

You're a perfect fit for this role if...
- You have proven experience in a client-facing role.
- You have an obvious passion & deep understanding of equity research.
- You have experience doing primary research (e.g. surveys, interviews, expert calls).
- You've got experience evaluating business-to-business (B2B) business models.
- You are comfortable interviewing senior-level executives about niche business topics.
- You're eager to learn, ask questions, and seek guidance when you're unsure.
- You love challenges, solving problems, and working as a team to find solutions.
- You can balance multiple deadlines and always find a way to deliver excellent work.
- You're driven, motivated, and excel in a goal & targets-oriented working culture.
- You're currently an undergrad or graduate at a top-tier university; or,
- You've got 1-3 years of relevant experience in equity research or management consultancy.
- You are ambitious and constantly looking for new challenges & responsibilities.
- You work smart, not hard - you're always looking to make improvements.
- You're radically transparent and honest; you don't shy away from difficult conversations.
